Hydration Guide · Cats

How much water does your cat need each day?

Calculate based on weight, diet, activity level, weather, and life stage — following the standard veterinary guideline of 50–60 mL per kg, including moisture from food.

Wet food is 70–80% moisture, so cats eating mostly wet food get much of their water from meals and drink less from the bowl.
